Job Description.

To execute the group logistics strategy for the India business to ensure alignment with customers, international operations, and business strategy. The role enables the execution of all sales and marketing plans with high customer service levels while maintaining an efficient cost structure.

Key Responsibilities

Demand Forecasting

-Take accountability for accurate forecasting and manage future demand requirements in coordination with the group Demand Planning Team.

-Accountable for the S&OP process and support the demand planner in execution.

Supply Planning

-Ensure adherence to the Advanced Planning & Scheduling process for timely order placement and dispatch.

-Manage cased goods inventory to maintain availability while optimizing working capital in line with group targets.

-For New Product Development: raise timely requests to the CS team and coordinate to get codes activated on time with labels as per LMR & FSSAI compliance.

Imports, Customs & Excise

-Manage incoming import shipments with the group customer service team, including Customs and FSSAI clearances.

-Work closely with industry associations and company legal teams on customs or regulatory challenges impacting supply chain operations, and liaise with government authorities as required.

-Participate in various initiatives that benefit the industry.

-Understand regulations related to packaging, mandatory requirements (labels, cartons, etc.), and alcohol; proactively communicate these to relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance, including FSSAI and legal metrology labelling, FSSAI annual returns, and product declarations per state excise requirements.

Warehousing & Logistics

-Effectively manage the supply process from warehouse to customer/distributor, ensuring documentation is complete, costs are controlled, and discrepancies are recorded.

-Accountable for stock reconciliation between WGSI and nominated 3PL partners.

-Manage daily performance of third-party warehouse service providers against set criteria and conduct regular operational reviews.

-Work with group logistics to prepare and negotiate third-party contracts and rates.

-Build strong working relationships with logistics partners, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient supply chain operations in India.

Reporting, Budgeting, Automation

-Report monthly metrics in line with group requirements.

-Collaborate with cross-functional teams and guide team members in implementing best practices, optimizing customer experience, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

-Lead the annual budgeting exercise for supply chain and focus on key improvement areas to drive cost efficiency in overall distribution.

-Monitor parallel imports from industry insights and report immediately to global teams for review and action.

-Drive automation initiatives within the supply chain function.
