The role is responsible for detailed site surveys, bid estimation, and technical support during the business development phase for solar PV projects. This includes preparation of detailed BOMs, PV layouts, SLDs, PVsyst simulations, vendor coordination, and optimum cost estimation. Candidates with strong engineering and design backgrounds are highly preferred.
-Act as the single point of responsibility for bid estimation and proposal support for ground-mounted and rooftop solar projects.
-Perform detailed system design conceptualization, generation analysis, PV layouts, BOMs, SLDs, vendor interactions, and cost estimation.
-Prepare tender documents and support submissions in coordination with the Business Development team.
-Develop optimized BOQs and cost estimates for the overall solar PV system.
-Obtain required inputs from internal standards teams, BD teams, and external customers for optimized system design.
-Attend customer meetings as required to support technical discussions.
-Ensure timely preparation and submission of documents as per tender and BD requirements.
-Demonstrate self-initiative, effective time management, and adaptability to different cultures and new projects.
-Actively contribute to the growth and development of the business.
Core Technical Skills:
-Strong understanding of Solar PV systems, electrical system design, CAD, civil and mechanical aspects, system performance, regulatory standards, and market trends.
-Knowledge of emerging technologies such as Energy Storage (BESS) and Hybrid Renewable Energy systems is preferred.
Tools & Software:
-Expertise in PVsyst, PVSol
-Working knowledge of Helioscope, AutoCAD, Google SketchUp, Solar Labs
-Proficiency in MS Office
Additional Expertise:
-End-to-end understanding of solar systems including site surveys, state-wise solar policies, and structural elements.
-Strong written and spoken communication skills in English and Hindi.
-Hands-on experience in designing and implementing commercial solar projects.
-Strong planning, organizational, and time-management skills.
-Detail-oriented with a proactive, initiative-driven approach to problem-solving.
-Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder communication abilities.
Education: B.E. in Electrical Engineering
Experience: 5–8 years of solar design and engineering experience
Minimum 4 years of bid estimation experience preferred
