Area Sales Manager

About the Role / Job Purpose

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is a mid-level sales leadership role responsible for driving sales growth and developing strong customer relationships. The role involves frequent liaison with wholesale distributors, retail stores, hoteliers, event managers, and pub operators. The ASM designs and executes sales strategies while keeping production and distribution aligned, with a strong focus on motivating and leading the sales team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Drive Market Acceptance and Sales Growth
  • - Enhance product acceptance in existing markets to accelerate sales performance and revenue growth.

  1. Strengthen Brand Visibility and Positioning
  • - Implement branding initiatives to improve brand representation, visibility, and customer recall.
  •  
  1. Customer Engagement and Relationship Management
  • - Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • - Address customer concerns effectively and communicate product updates to support sales.
  •  
  1. Inventory Management
  • - Ensure consistent product availability across assigned territories.
  • -  Prevent stockouts through effective supply and inventory management.
  •  
  1. Sales Team Leadership
  • - Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to drive consistent performance and professional development.
  1. Sales Target Achievement
  • - Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and implement data-driven strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.

Educational Qualifications & Experience

  • MBA / PGDM from a reputed B-School.
  • Age Group: 25–35 years.
  • Experience: Around 8+ years.
  • Industry Background: Preferably Alcobev or FMCG.
