Job Purpose
The role exists to provide pro-active and effective legal and contractual support to the business and operational activities of the Indian Business Unit (BU) and the legal department.
Key Responsibilities
- - Review various Service and Supply Contracts with a strong understanding of all contractual components.
- - Review ongoing tenders and highlight contractual risks involved.
- - Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors and clients leading to contract finalization.
- - Coordinate with internal and external agencies/departments to resolve contractual disputes in a timely manner.
- - Identify project-related contractual bottlenecks and safeguard the company’s contractual interests.
- - Work closely with the Projects team to raise or defend contractual claims during project execution.
- - Maintain complete contractual records and documentation, including correspondence and customer communications.
- - Monitor transactional compliance related to milestones, deliverables, and invoicing.
- - Prepare documentation for contract closure, extensions, or renewals.
- - Ensure adherence to timelines; be flexible for long working hours and travel when required.
Financial Dimensions
-Annual financial numbers for the AMI business will increase as projects scale and apply to all positions within the scope of their roles and responsibilities.
Skills & Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
- - Engineering degree or LLB

Functional Skills:
- - Mandatory experience in contracts management and negotiations
- - Exposure to contracting in Power/Energy projects (AMI experience is an added advantage)
Experience:
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in contracts and legal support roles
