Pre Bid Manager

 

About the Role

The role is responsible for conducting detailed Site Surveys, preparation of Detailed BOM for overall SPV System, PV Layout, SLD, PV system Simulation, Vendor interactions, Optimum Cost Estimation etc. Candidates with detailed engineering experience will be highly preferred.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • - Single point responsibility for Bid Estimation/Proposal during Business development process for Ground / Roof mounted solar systems by doing detailed system design -conceptualisation, arriving at optimum generation data, preparing PV Layouts, Bill of Material and SLDs, Vendor interactions, Optimum Cost Estimation, Tender documents as a part of submission to customer in coordination with BD Team.
  • - Responsible for Optimum BOQ with Cost Estimation of the overall Solar PV System to support the BD Team.
  • - Responsible for obtaining necessary inputs from internal standards/BD team / external customers for designing optimum solar system and attending customer meetings as and when necessary.
  • - Responsible for on-time preparation and submission of required documents as per Tender/BD requirements.
  • - A self-initiator, able to manage time and take initiative.
  • - Participate strongly in the development of a growing business.
  • - Flexibility to work and adapt to different cultures and new projects.

 

Technical Expertise & Tools

 

  • - Expertise in running PVSYST, PVSol Software Tools.
  • - Working knowledge of Helioscope, AutoCAD & Google SketchUp, Solar Labs.
  • - Expertise in the MS Office package.
  • - Bird’s eye view on the entire solar system, including detailed Site Survey, state-wise solar policy, and civil and structural elements of the solar system.
  • - Strong understanding in latest products and systems related to Solar PV, Electrical System Design, Solar Design, CAD, Electrical, System performance, civil and mechanical aspects, regulatory and standards knowledge.
  • - Awareness of the latest market trends like Energy Storage (BESS), Hybrid Renewable Energy.
  • - Excellent communication skills – written and spoken – English and Hindi.

 

Project Expertise

  • - Hands-on experience in designing and implementing commercial solar projects.
  • - Strong understanding of solar system design, including layout optimisation and cost estimation.

  • - Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • - Strong planning and organisational abilities, attention to detail, and time management.
  • - Initiative-driven with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

 

Education & Experience

  • Education: BE in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: 5–8 years of solar work experience in Design and Engineering (minimum 4 years of Bid Estimation experience preferred).
