Role Summary
Responsible for end-to-end SCADA process management for Solar, Wind, and Hybrid power plants, including system implementation, troubleshooting, vendor coordination, upgrades, documentation, and training.
The role ensures seamless communication between plant-level SCADA and central monitoring systems with 100% data availability.
Key Responsibilities
SCADA Process Management (New Projects)
- - Coordinate with design team for SCADA vendor finalization and standardization.
- - Verify and validate SCADA architecture and configurations at design stage.
- - Plan and execute multi-location SCADA implementation with vendors.
- - Conduct final validation as per approved design and requirements.
- - Coordinate vendor selection, installation, commissioning, and interdepartmental activities.
- - Manage site-level lease line and SCADA peripheral requirements.
- - Ensure integration of plant SCADA with central monitoring & analytics systems.

SCADA System Management (O&M / Upgrades)
- - Define installation and maintenance guidelines (Do’s & Don’ts).
- - Ensure hardware and software troubleshooting through site teams and vendors.
- - Plan and execute proactive hardware/software upgrades.
- - Ensure 100% data availability at local and central levels.
- - Manage licenses, software keys, renewals, and compliance.
- - Handle AMC improvement, negotiation, renewal, and payment coordination.
- - Support site teams in SCADA-related warranty management.

Documentation & Reporting
- - Prepare manuals and process improvement checklists.
- - Document software upgrades with logic and technical considerations.
- - Maintain trackers and ensure periodic updates.
- - Use data for analytics and continuous improvement.
- - Provide inputs for monthly and yearly MIS reports.

Training & Development
- - Attend internal and external training as per company policy.
- - Conduct periodic training for site teams on installation, troubleshooting, and validation.
- - Train team members on SCADA design and troubleshooting.
- - Ensure readiness for upcoming SCADA processes for wind/hybrid projects.
