Cluster Lead

Job Purpose

Advance Metering Infrastructure is a new business expanding at swift pace across India.

This position exists to handle continuity of overall AMI deployment and O&M in line with contract requirements.

Principal Accountabilities

- Overall responsibility for handling Meter Installation, AMI deployment and O&M in line to contract requirements
- Lead team of Circle Incharges, Field Technicians, Subdivision/Division/Circle level Vendors for Consumer Indexing, DT Survey, and Meter Installation and perform O&M activities in -line with contract requirements.
- Approval of SNID for Vendors and the third-party role of Technicians.
- Ensure full compliance with AMI SOPs and exhibit zero tolerance for malpractices in line with the Code of Conduct directly and with project partners.
- Lead regular reviews with AMI Implementation Partner and Meter Manufacturer.
- Determine business process requirements for AMI system, regularly evaluate efficiency of business processes according to organizational & program objectives and apply improvements.
- Maintain a customer-centric approach, attend DISCOM project review meetings and handle escalations.
- Monitor project issues in real time & ensure resolution.
- Daily MIS reporting to stakeholders.
- Identify & target areas in which the business can improve operations by recommending solutions.
- Ensure strategic inventory planning, allocation of meters to technicians, allocation of work areas to technicians and ensure training to new technical support staff.
- L2 validation for assigned circles and clearing of rejection cases through field teams.
- Ensure Gateway installation before project milestones.
