Digital Marketing Manager

WHAT MAKES THIS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY?

This role will play an active role in leading Digital acceleration & PR amplification of SGS brands in India, bringing an
expert Digital/Media voice to brand planning process. She/He will need to stay current with digital/media trends and
landscape, updating key stakeholders in the market on shifts in best practices and enabling agility to respond to new
opportunities. The position will also lead the planning and execution of digital plans and also be responsible for helping
upskill Digital/Media capabilities for the team/region.

 

Mission of Role
The Digital Marketing Manager role, specifically, will play a critical leadership role in ensuring excellence and consistency
in execution of Full Annual Digital Marketing & PR Charter for India and display thought leadership and subject expertise.
The Digital Manager will be expected to partner closely with:
• Global and Regional Digital Marketing – to ensure alignment and pull through of global best practices
• Global and Local Brand Managers – to support touchpoint prioritization, media strategy, and digital
ecosystem plans through application of best practices
• eCommerce teams – to support customer-specific content needs and ensure join-up with digital
ecosystem strategies
• Off-Trade/On-Trade Region Commercial Marketing– to foster an omnichannel strategy through digital
ecosystem extensions,
• Global Brand PR, Corporate PR India and Region Teams
Role Responsibilities
▪ Build and align India Digital Acceleration Charter & 3-year Growth Plan to support brand equity agenda.
▪ Create a branded digital content ecosystem-a calendar & network of content types, platforms and channels to
amplify brand content. An integrated, seamless marketing approach between Branded & PR savvy content. Our
content universe:
o Content from Brand campaigns led by brand extensions.
o Associations with Topical/ moment/ platform partnerships to create brand integrations
o Always on/ product led content creation with the right partners and platforms- Celebs, Influencers,
Lifestyle, Music, Entertainment, Sports, New, PR platforms
o Digital content amplification of Store led and on ground Events/ activations in and outside
purchase/consumption channels
o Seed and discover topics in culture (build a content ‘muscle’)
▪ Ensure content is consistently effectively distributed to achieve right Reach & engagement that delivers brand
KPIs like awareness & consideration across relevant platforms & channels - Social media, 3rd party platforms (
as per consumer/ brand touchpoints), Youtube, Influencers, Podcasts, Reddit to reach the audience.
▪ Support all the brands to show up actively in all relevant external PR forums that can enable better brand
positioning and connect with key stakeholders. Responsible for delivering breakthrough public relations
campaigns that bring the Global Brand House Strategies to life through significant and impactful earned media
results.
▪ Creating PR assets in formats for news and media channels, as well as social and website, and possibly other
digital channels to drive brand/ innovation/campaign announcements
▪ Manage digital agency to maintain owned social handles (Social community management & Social organic posting
on our owned channels)Adherence to all Regulatory guidelines driving brand extensions and product content
creation and amplification
▪ Manage digital assets; Identify and develop brand-focused local digital asset needs, including new & modified
global brand assets, where needed, including upload to approved digital assets library tools
▪ Implement Global Digital Marketing best practices and programs (e-content, website, CRM, Search/traffic, and
social media, etc.) and ensure consistency across brands
▪ Drive media efficiencies in the market through following global/regional frameworks and playbooks and
supporting brands with local media plans and agency relationships
▪ Provide education (training and upskilling) and act as subject expert for marketing teams to understand digital
needs
▪ Identify opportunities and Implement 1Party data capture and ensure it follows applicable Data Privacy legal
requirements. Implement tracking for digital campaigns, support with analysis, reports and data sharing
▪ Single Point of Contact for Regional and Global Digital Marketing teams. Follow Plan Do Check Act
methodology to feedback improvement opportunities to Global/Regional programs and best practices
▪ Management of Digital and PR agency, motivation, direction and adherence to compliance and regulatory
guardrails

• Co-owned with brand teams -Paid reach and SOV targets delivered.
• Organic Reach achieved through quality content created across partnerships and platforms
• Co-owned along with brand teams brand Equity KPIs as per brands – like Awareness, Consideration, For

• Share of Search of SGS brands as a result of content created
• Positive sentiment on the brands


Qualifications & Experience
▪ Extreme passion loads of ideas & a desire to create consumer loved brand experiences.
▪ Experience in digital Content development/ production experience on popular brands, preferable in alco-bev
space, working with agencies and production houses to create cost efficient digital savvy audio visuals content
▪ Technical education for digital marketing from a premier institute, with 8+ years of experience managing social
content, digital media management and popular culture understanding
▪ Digital Media planning and Reach -Subject expert and technical experience for IOT, WEb 2.0. Expert in use of
social tools to establish and measure KPIs and ensure continuous reporting on progress and optimization of
regional key initiatives
▪ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
▪ Experience in the area of production and e-Content management
▪ This individual is strategic, plugged into culture, has a strong PR network, with a sophisticated knowledge of
cultural trends and nuances ensuring best in class results.
▪ Good understanding of India Alcoholic beverages local Excise Regulatory guardrails & ASCI guidelines on
content and media amplification
▪ Hands-on and takes ownership, ability to flex in response to evolving business priorities and operate under
pressure in a fast-paced business environment
▪ Self-starter, comfortable working in unstructured environment and conflict resolution, able to manage multiple
priorities effortlessly
▪ Proactive way of working and ability to work remotely and independently from stakeholders and colleagues in a
matrix organization.
▪ Agency/outside partner management, process management and development skills.
▪ Passionate and determined, committed to delivering projects on-time and above expectations.
▪ Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural, cross functional
