Electrical Lead Engineer
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- - Prepare Tender Specifications, Data Sheets, Material Requisitions (MRs), Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE), Design Basis Reports (DBR), and Technical Specifications.
- - Preparation of Single Line Diagrams (overall and basic protection), schematic diagrams, schedules, I/O list, and logics for EHV/MV/LV systems.
- - Substation Engineering, including conductor sizing, sag tension analysis, protection philosophy, and short circuit force calculations for voltage levels up to 220kV AIS/GIS.
- - Perform sizing calculations for electrical equipment such as CT/PT, transformers, DC systems, UPS systems, auxiliary systems, switchgears, MCCs, etc.
- - Perform calculations for electrical components, including cables, cable tray/conduit sizing, cable tray loading calculations, earthing, and lighting design calculations.
- - Conduct system studies such as load flow, short circuit, and motor starting using ETAP software and manual calculations.
- - Review layouts and engineering drawings, including Substation General Arrangement, Erection Key Diagram, Earthmat details, raceways, lighting, grounding, and equipment layout.
- - Prepare cable/distribution board schedules and inter-panel wiring.
- - Review technical documents, drawings, and specifications in line with project scope while managing quality standards and implementing changes as required.
- - Coordinate design engineering operations involving detailed drawings for projects in coordination with internal departments.
- - Participate in kick-off meetings, progress meetings, and technical meetings.
- - Support team development initiatives.
- - Manage Lesson Learned database.
