Job Description
An experienced Engineering Lead Design Engineer to join the team and play a pivotal role in the design and development of solar power projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, with a focus on solar energy systems and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- - Lead the engineering design process for solar power projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and project requirements.
- - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, electrical engineers, and construction teams to develop innovative solutions and optimize project efficiency.
- - Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine optimal locations and design parameters for ground mount solar installations.
- - Develop detailed engineering plans, specifications, and drawings using CAD software.
- - Perform engineering calculations and simulations to analyse system performance and optimize design parameters.
- - Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
- - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project team members.
- - Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure on-time and on-budget project delivery.
Qualifications
- - Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).
- - Minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering design, with a focus on solar energy systems.
- - Proven track record of successfully leading engineering teams and managing complex projects.
- - Proficiency in CAD software, PVsyst, and engineering simulation tools.
- - Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, with knowledge of photovoltaic technology and solar power generation.
- - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- - Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
