RSM - Bus Sale

Job Description

 

This position is responsible for driving business development, increasing bus sales volumes, and expanding market share within the assigned region.

The role focuses on achieving regional sales targets while executing the overall business strategy and leading a high-performing sales team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • - Drive business development and sales growth across the assigned region. 
  • - Achieve sales volume, revenue, and market share targets in line with the business plan. 
  • - Develop and manage strong relationships with customers, dealers, schools, staff operators, fleet owners, financiers, and corporate clients. 
  • - Lead and mentor a team of Channel Sales Managers (CSMs) and Area Sales Managers (ASMs) to achieve regional objectives. 
  • - Work closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product Development, Aftermarket, Finance, and PSP to support business growth. 
  • - Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to expand business in the region. 
  • - Strengthen dealer and channel partner networks to maximize sales performance. 
  • - Drive value-based selling by understanding customer applications, operational economics, and product advantages. 
  • - Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer requirements to develop effective sales strategies. 
  • - Ensure effective forecasting, sales planning, and reporting for the assigned territory. 

 

Financial & Team Responsibility

  • - Business Size: ₹500–2500 Million. 
  • - Direct Team: 2–5 members. 

 

Reporting Structure

Reporting To: National Sales Head

Team Managed: Channel Sales Managers (CSMs) and Area Sales Managers (ASMs)

 

Education & Experience

  • - B.E./B.Tech (MBA preferred). 
  • - 10–12 years of relevant experience in Automobile Sales, preferably in the Commercial Vehicle (CV) industry. 

 

Required Knowledge & Skills

  • - Strong understanding of commercial vehicle products, customer applications, and market segments. 
  • - Knowledge of regional business models and operational dynamics. 
  • - Understanding of bus operations, value selling, and commercial economics. 
  • - Strong commercial acumen and sales strategy capabilities. 
  • - Expertise in channel management and dealer development. 
  • - Excellent leadership, negotiation, networking, and relationship management skills. 
  • - Strong communication, interpersonal, and team management abilities.
