Regional Sales Manager

Job Description

 

The Regional Sales Manager (Engines & Gensets) will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding the company's Engine Power Solutions (EPS) business across assigned international markets. The role focuses on distributor and dealer development, business expansion, customer relationship management, pricing strategy, after-sales support, and achieving regional sales targets.

The position requires close collaboration with Marketing, Product Support, Finance, Logistics, Quality, and international channel partners to strengthen market presence and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Drive sales growth for engines and gensets across assigned international markets.
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
  • Achieve annual sales targets while maximising market share.
  •  

2. Distributor & Dealer Management

  • Appoint, develop, and manage distributors, dealers, and OEM partners.
  • Conduct regular business reviews and monitor channel partner performance.
  • Strengthen distributor relationships and improve market coverage.
  • Support dealers with sales planning, inventory, and business development initiatives.
  •  

3. Customer & After-Sales Support

  • Build long-term relationships with key customers and strategic accounts.
  • Ensure excellent customer satisfaction through timely technical and after-sales support.
  • Conduct customer training programs and implement marketing initiatives.
  • Resolve customer issues in collaboration with internal teams.
  •  

4. Commercial & Pricing Management

  • Manage pricing strategies, commercial negotiations, and price benchmarking.
  • Monitor receivables and ensure timely collections.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, invoicing, and commercial planning.
  • Ensure compliance with export commercial terms and business policies.
  •  

5. Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
  • Develop sales forecasts and market expansion strategies.
  • Identify new channel partners and emerging business opportunities.
  • Recommend product and pricing strategies based on market insights.
  •  

6. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with Marketing, Product Support, Finance, Logistics, and Quality teams.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth order execution.
  • Support business planning and regional growth initiatives.
  • Drive collaboration across departments to improve customer experience.
  •  

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech).
  • MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum 4–8 years of experience in sales within the Engines, Gensets, Power Solutions, or Industrial Equipment industry.
  • Experience in international business, distributor management, and channel sales is preferred.
