Job Description
The Manager – Finance will be responsible for managing key financial accounting, reporting, taxation, audit, compliance, and management reporting activities across the organisation. The role will work closely with the Vice President – Finance and support the Finance function across India and Singapore entities.
The position requires a qualified Chartered Accountant with strong experience in financial reporting, audit coordination, tax compliance, budgeting, financial modelling, and ERP implementation. The candidate will also play an important role in strengthening finance processes, SAP systems, internal controls, and business reporting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Manage the monthly financial close process.
- Ensure all costs are properly recorded and review journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Review Trial Balance regularly and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Prepare and review monthly management reports, revenue reports, and financial analysis.
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements as per IND AS.
- Support preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements for international entities.
- Ensure accuracy of the General Ledger, Chart of Accounts, and financial statements.
- Manage revenue recognition workings, sales and purchase registers, and credit finance reconciliations.

2. Taxation & Compliance
- Coordinate Income Tax assessments and tax computations.
- Coordinate with consultants for ITR filing and transfer pricing audits and filings.
- Support GST reconciliations and related tax compliances.
- Perform reconciliation of tax records, including 26AS reconciliation.
- Support reconciliation of books with GST returns.
- Support Company Secretary in finance-related statutory compliances.

3. Audit Management
- Coordinate statutory audits for India and Singapore entities.
- Lead Tax Audit, Cost Audit, and Internal Audit activities.
- Prepare audit schedules and responses to auditor queries.
- Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits and compliance requirements.
- Work closely with the Finance Head on annual reporting and overall financial accounting activities.

4. Budgeting & Financial Analysis
- Support annual budget preparation.
- Assist with financial modelling and project profitability analysis.
- Prepare financial analysis and management reports as required.
- Support quarterly reporting to investors and lenders.
- Assist with preparation of documentation for Annual Review and Board Meetings.
- Provide financial insights to support management decision-making.

5. SAP & Finance Automation
- Manage finance-related SAP activities including period closure, General Ledger creation, and master data creation.
- Work with the IT team on SAP reporting requirements for Finance.
- Participate in implementation and improvement of ERP systems and other IT solutions.
- Support process and SAP system changes to improve finance operations.
- Drive continuous improvement in finance systems, processes, and business practices.

6. Internal Controls & Process Improvement
- Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Ensure company finance policies and procedures are followed.
- Strengthen internal controls and processes to improve financial accuracy.
- Recommend improvements where required.
- Establish appropriate techniques and controls to identify and prevent fraud.
- Improve system efficiencies and operational practices across the Finance function.

7. Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with external auditors, bankers, consultants, investors, lenders, and other stakeholders.
- Support due diligence and fund-raising activities.
- Work closely with the Finance Head and wider Finance team.
- Collaborate with the IT team on finance technology and reporting requirements.
- Support other finance activities based on business requirements.

8. Additional Finance Operations
- Maintain the company's insurance policies and ensure timely renewals.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register (FAR) and oversee depreciation calculations.
- Ensure appropriate classification and booking of financial transactions.
- Support the Finance team in resolving accounting and reporting requirements.

Qualifications & Experience
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is required.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience progressing from a junior accounting role to a senior finance position, preferably in an international environment.
- 3–5 years of managerial experience in Finance, including cross-functional/team management experience.
- Prior experience in ERP implementation and other IT solutions.
- Experience in financial reporting, audit coordination, tax compliance, budgeting, and management reporting.
- Demonstrated experience in financial modelling and project profitability analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Excel.
- Working knowledge of SAP is mandatory; SAP B1 preferred.
- Self-driven professional capable of taking initiative and working independently.
