The Audio Visual Training Manager is responsible for designing, developing, and managing training programs for the Pre-Sales, Sales, and Projects teams within DVI. This role involves creating training materials, managing the Learning Management System (LMS), and conducting workshops to ensure teams are well-equipped with the necessary AV product knowledge, system design expertise, and industry best practices.
The ideal candidate will have a strong AV background with a focus on system design, product features, and solution deployment. They will be responsible for developing structured training programs for AV technologies, such as One Beyond, Crestron, Biamp, QSC, Shure, Zoom, Teams Rooms, and other industry solutions.
- Identify training needs across the Pre-Sales, Sales, and Projects teams.
- Design and develop course materials, training guides, product reference sheets, and technical documents.
- Implement and manage a Learning Management System (LMS) for structured e-learning modules.
- Ensure training content is updated regularly with new AV technologies and product updates.
- Develop interactive training formats, including videos, live demos, and hands-on workshops.
- Deliver technical training on AV system design, product integration, and industry trends.
- Conduct internal workshops on new AV products and solutions (e.g., One Beyond, Crestron, etc.).
- Provide certification training for engineers and sales teams on AV products & software.
- Organize live product demos and knowledge-sharing sessions across teams.
- Develop technical training programs on system design, signal flow, and AV infrastructure.
- Work closely with the Pre-Sales team to ensure they understand solution architecture and design principles.
- Provide training on AV standards (AVIXA, InfoComm CTS, SMPTE, Dante, AES67, etc.).
- Create product comparison guides and competitive analysis for the Sales team.
- Work with product manufacturers and distributors to source training materials.
- Collaborate with the R&D, Pre-Sales, and Project Engineering teams to enhance training programs.
- Stay updated on new AV technologies and ensure teams are equipped with the latest knowledge.
- Coordinate with HR & Management to integrate training programs into employee onboarding.
- Track training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and knowledge checks.
- Maintain records of team certifications, training participation, and performance.
- Recommend training improvements based on industry advancements and team feedback.
- Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Technology, Electrical Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in the AV industry, preferably in training, presales, or system design.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and content development.
- Strong knowledge of AV system design, signal processing, and product integration.
- Experience with leading AV brands (e.g., Crestron, Biamp, Shure, QSC, Extron, One Beyond).
- Familiarity with Dante, AES67, VoIP, UC platforms (Zoom, MS Teams), and AV over IP.
- Certifications such as CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I, Dante, Q-SYS, or equivalent are preferred.
- Ability to create and deliver engaging technical training programs.
- Strong presentation skills with experience in conducting hands-on workshops.
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams (sales, pre-sales, projects, and vendors).
