Job Title: Commissioning Manager
Location: International Projects
Job Type – Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
The Commissioning Manager is responsible for overseeing the commissioning phase of large-scale
international solar EPC Projects. The role involves ensuring that all systems, including electrical,
mechanical, and civil components, are installed, tested, and commissioned according to specifications,
industry standards, and client requirements. The Commissioning Manager will also lead and manage
a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the successful handover of the projects to the client.
• Commissioning Planning & Coordination:
o Develop and implement detailed commissioning plans for large-scale solar projects,
ensuring compliance with the project timeline and budget.
o Coordinate with design, procurement, and construction teams to ensure all necessary
resources (tools, equipment, and personnel) are in place for commissioning activities.
o Plan and schedule commissioning tasks, including factory acceptance tests (FAT), site
acceptance tests (SAT), and performance testing.
• Team Leadership & Supervision:
o Lead and manage a team of commissioning engineers and technicians during the
commissioning phase.
o Provide training and guidance to the team, ensuring a high level of competency in
commissioning practices and safety standards.
o Assign tasks, manage workloads, and provide daily direction to the commissioning
team to meet project goals.
• Testing & Quality Assurance:
o Oversee the execution of all commissioning tests, including electrical, mechanical, and
system integration testing.
o Ensure all commissioning activities are carried out in compliance with the project’s
quality standards, industry regulations, and safety protocols.
o Document and report any issues or discrepancies during commissioning, and work
with relevant teams to resolve them.
• System Integration & Performance Verification:
o Coordinate the integration of all solar systems, ensuring the smooth operation of
electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
o Ensure that all systems perform according to design specifications and client
expectations.
o Perform performance testing and verify the system meets the expected output and
operational efficiency.
• Handover & Documentation:
o Prepare detailed commissioning reports, including test results, system performance,
and any modifications or issues encountered.
o Ensure proper documentation of the commissioning process, including as-built
drawings, operational manuals, and maintenance guidelines, are provided to the
client.
o Lead the handover process to the client, ensuring that all necessary documentation is
complete and that the system is fully operational.
• Health, Safety & Compliance:
o Ensure that all commissioning activities adhere to local health and safety regulations
and international standards.
o Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring that the commissioning team
and site personnel follow safety procedures at all times.
o Conduct safety audits and reviews during commissioning activities to mitigate risks
and prevent accidents.
• Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:
o Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to system performance, equipment,
and installation during the commissioning process.
o Work closely with project engineers, suppliers, and contractors to identify and resolve
any technical challenges.
• Client & Stakeholder Communication:
o Act as the main point of contact for the client during the commissioning phase.
o Provide regular updates and status reports to the client, project management, and
other stakeholders on commissioning progress and any issues.
o Address client concerns and ensure the timely resolution of any issues during the
commissioning phase.
• Continuous Improvement:
o Contribute to the continuous improvement of commissioning processes, procedures,
and standards.
o Share lessons learned and best practices across projects to improve commissioning
efficiency and quality.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with min. of 12 years of Proven experience in Renewables /
Solar / Wind. International exposure would be preferred.
