1. JOB PURPOSE

Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) is a rapidly growing business segment in which Apraava is expanding swiftly. This business is spread across various states in India, including Assam, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh. The role of Cluster Lead exists to ensure the seamless deployment and operation & maintenance (O&M) of AMI projects, aligning with contractual requirements.

3. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accountabilities & Major Activities

Overall responsibility for Meter Installation, AMI deployment, and O&M in line with contract requirements

  • Lead a team comprising Circle Incharges, Field Technicians, and Subdivision/Division/Circle-level Vendors for Consumer Indexing, DT Survey, and Meter Installation, ensuring O&M activities align with contract requirements.
  • Approve SNID for Vendors and third-party Technicians.
  • Ensure strict compliance with AMI Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and enforce zero tolerance for malpractices in alignment with Apraava’s Code of Conduct, including project partners.
  • Conduct regular reviews with AMI Implementation Partners and Meter Manufacturers.
  • Define business process requirements for AMI systems, continuously evaluate process efficiency, and implement improvements.
  • Maintain a customer-centric approach, attend DISCOM project review meetings, and address escalations.
  • Monitor project issues in real-time and ensure timely resolution.
  • Provide daily MIS reporting to stakeholders.
  • Identify areas for operational improvement and recommend solutions.
  • Develop strategic inventory plans, allocate meters to technicians, assign work areas, and provide training for new technical support staff.
  • Perform L2 validation for assigned circles and resolve rejection cases through field teams.
  • Ensure the timely installation of gateways before implementation.

6. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Educational Qualifications:

  • Engineering Graduate

Functional Skills:

  • Experience with Energy Distribution Utilities (Exposure to AMI/AMR projects is an added advantage)
