Area Sales Manager

Key Job Responsibilities

 

Summary:
Achieve and maintain profitable sales of ARTECO coolants to selected Automotive OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers – Key and/or Global Accounts), Oil Companies, Marketers, Blenders and Distributors in the entire country.

 

Functions include:

  • - Exploring the market for potential customers, establishing contact, discussing various aspects of business development with the customers which includes giving presentations, technical as well as commercial discussions. Converting the discussions into business and providing support and maintaining good relationship for regular and consistent growth.
  • - Collect market information from various sources and share with the company. Coordinate with ASM-India & Marketing Manager - BE and ensure ARTECO is presented well in print media.
  • - Should have the experience of working independently.
  • - Actively manage credit and payment issues in cooperation with Arteco Accounts Receivable and Customer Service.
  • - Maintain the relationship and business with existing customers by meeting their requirements and providing prompt support. Ensure that the price changes are implemented at each customer to avoid loss/rework in the future.
  • - Coordinate product approval programs with OEMs in cooperation with our R&D department.
  • - Coordinate technical issues for worldwide OEMs that are headquartered in his/her territory.
  • - Represent the needs of the customers in internal functions by reviewing their requirements in terms of quality, environment and safety and making sure that our organization can match these requirements.
  • - Propose improvements to our business system to meet customer requirement and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • - Launch new products/projects in APQP processes.
  • - Prepare forecasting (quarterly & yearly) for planning and budgeting. Assist Managing Director to prepare annual budget.
  • - Work as an active back-up for the other ASMs.
  • - Work closely with different organizations for exhibitions. Work closely with suppliers, designers and ACI colleagues to ensure that ARTECO brand is presented well in the exhibitions.

 

Education and Critical Skills Required

  • - Bachelor of Engineering from a reputed college/university in Chemical or Mechanical stream.
  • - 8–12 years of work experience, out of which major time should be with Automotive OEMs.
  • - Should have the ability and desire to travel locally as well as overseas.
  • - Should have a good knowledge of English & Hindi, both spoken and written.
  • - Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • - Knowledge of chemicals and coolants, lubricants, additive formulations will be an added advantage.
