The role involves supports the strategic planning and execution of renewable energy projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Key responsibilities include setting up governance frameworks, overseeing project performance and budgets, managing risks, and optimizing resource allocation. The role also emphasizes strong stakeholder engagement, regulatory compliance, influencing, and driving continuous process improvements to ensure efficient project delivery across the renewable energy portfolio.
Job Description:
Strategic Planning and Alignment:
- Developing and implementing project management strategies that align with the organization's overall renewable energy goals and objectives.
Team Establishment and Management:
- Setting up and managing the processes, and governance for renewable energy projects, ensuring consistency and best practices.
Project Oversight and Monitoring:
- Overseeing the progress of multiple renewable energy projects, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), Capex tracking against budget and ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.
Risk Management:
- Identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with renewable energy projects, developing risk management plans, and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Stakeholder Management:
- Maintaining effective communication and relationships with various stakeholders, including internal teams, external contractors, regulatory bodies, and investors.
Resource Management:
- Optimizing the allocation and utilization of resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment, across different projects.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of project delivery.
Compliance and Governance:
- Ensuring all projects adhere to relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong Project Management Skills:
- Proven experience in managing complex projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
Renewable Energy Industry Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of the renewable energy sector, including technologies, regulations, and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:
- Ability to analyse complex situations, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
Technical Proficiency:
- Familiarity with project management software and tools, such as Primavera, MS Project, or P6.
- A graduate or postgraduate with Engineering background
- 8 - 10 years’ overall work experience in Project planning and controlling, with preferably 5 to 8 years in the renewable power generation industry
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or other relevant certifications
