Job Purpose:
-Responsible for land and legal documentation, coordination with land aggregators in Andhra Pradesh, and obtaining statutory approvals for Open Access projects.
Key Responsibilities:
-Handle land acquisition for solar and wind projects, including identification, evaluation, and surveying of proposed land.
-Independently manage the entire land acquisition process, from feasibility to final documentation.
-Chart and regularly update the land acquisition process (Private / Govt. / Forest) in Andhra Pradesh, detailing activities, stakeholders, costs, and risks.
-Liaise with Andhra Pradesh government authorities at all levels to obtain required permits and approvals in a time-bound manner.
-Lead legal due diligence and documentation with internal/external lawyers to ensure clear and marketable land titles.
-Assess potential Right of Way (RoW) issues and ensure timely resolution through Land Facilitators/Agents without impacting project timelines.
-Coordinate with land aggregators for faster execution of MoUs, Sale/Lease Deeds, POAs, and related documentation.
-Keep management informed through MIS on litigations, notices, and legal compliances; advise on legal risk mitigation.
-Monitor and coordinate the activities of land aggregators.
-Manage evaluation, verification, and preparation of land-related documents, including feasibility and title reports.
-Liaise with government departments (Revenue, Panchayats, Taluka, etc.) for necessary approvals and permissions.
-Resolve on-site RoW issues and manage arbitration or land-related litigation as required.
-Handle title searches, change of land use, forest/agricultural land approvals, and related documentation for project development and finance.
-Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and approvals from local authorities such as TCAPL, NREDCAP, and APSPDCL.
-Prepare feasibility reports, title reports, and legal opinions.
-Obtain state grid approvals and manage legal correspondence for development approvals.
-Demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills with sound understanding of land documentation and state regulations.
-Maintain good networking with government officials and stakeholders.
-Graduate with 5–10 years of work experience in the Solar or Wind sector.
-Law degree preferred.
-Must be able to read, write, and understand Telugu.
-Strong knowledge of state laws, including land acquisition, state clearances, local body approvals, PWD approvals, and regulatory processes.
-Experience in solar IPP/EPC companies preferred.
-Willingness to travel and stay at project sites as required.
